Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are non-profit organisations that operate at a community, national or international level, independently of government.

The Society Integration Foundation is the largest supporter and enabler of non-governmental organisations in Latvia. Each year, several calls for project proposals are launched, where NGO initiatives can receive more than €1 million in financial support to implement their ideas.

For more information on the documentation and opening times of calls for proposals, see "Project calls" (LV).
