Almost 600 project applications submitted in the EEA Grants programme „NGO fund”

The Society Integration Foundation informs that submission of project applications has ended in sub-programmes of the EEA Grants programme “NGO fund”: NGO activity support measure, and NGO project measure. There were 588 project applications submitted to the Society Integration Foundation in total in both sub-programmes.

206 project applications were submitted in the NGO activity support measure. 150 project applications were submitted in the group of macro-projects and 56 project applications in the group of micro-projects. The total requested co-financing of the programme: 7 282 268,88 LVL.

Distribution of submitted project proposals according to areas of support:

382 project applications were submitted in NGO project measure. 234 of them were submitted in the group of medium and macro-projects and 148 in the group of micro-projects. The total requested co-financing of the programme: 12 922 820,50 LVL.

Among all submitted project applications, there were 68 project applications, which envisaged involvement of organizations from donor countries as project partners (11 in NGO activity support measure and 57 in NGO project measure).

In January 2013, implementation of a pre-defined project “Support to sustainable civil society development and improvement of the monitoring system in Latvia” of the EEA Grants programme “NGO fund” was started. This project is the first project being currently implemented within the EEA Grants 2009-2014.

Open calls for proposals were announced by the Society Integration Foundation in November 27, 2012. Timeline for evaluation of submitted project proposals:
