Summary of article „DIFFERENCE MANAGEMENT"

Society is not homogenous – there are many differences and, of course, similarities as well, and this fact can contribute to misunderstandings, incomprehension and discrimination. In order to decrease the barriers, they have to be recognized firstly and their existence has to be acknowledged. Acknowledging then, we can reach common understanding because nowadays there is not just differences, but, fortunately, also knowledge and experience on communicating, working and living together, despite of differences. Implementation of difference management in organizations can contribute to common process, i.e., increase of tolerance and understanding in society in general. Difference management increases the availability of working environment and working climate in organizations.
